After discovering a strange door in her new home, Coraline becomes suspicious and doubts what is behind the door. That night she dreams of little black shapes with yellow teeth and red eyes making her uncomfortable with their threatening songs. Do these strange occurances have anything in common? Coraline knew that she had to find out.


Summarizer - Chapter 2

After the odd dreams last night, Coraline tries to clear her mind by going on a long walk in the mist. After her walk, Coraline is bored out of her mind with nothing to do, so her mother suggests that she should visit Mrs. Spink and Mrs. Forcible. During their tea, they read Coraline's tea leaves, and predict that she is in grave danger. Coraline is not worried, but they give her a stone with a hole it in for good luck.
