Coraline is very independent, we know this because when her father makes one of his “recipes” she doesn’t complain, instead she goes and makes something else for herself.
Coraline is anti-social, we know this because throughout the book we don’t get introduced to any of her friends, and she perfers to explore by herself.
Coraline is very brave, because she always stays calm when she is in a tough situation, for example when her parents go missing, she tries and find a way to save them instead of worrying.Coraline is very bright, we know this because in the novel she does not give in to her “other” mother when she is tempting her with things that Coraline has always wanted.
The “Other” Mother
She is very wicked, because she wants to take Coraline and use her power to make herself stronger. She only loves Coraline in a way that people love money, or fame.
The “other” mother is very selfish, we know this because throughout the novel she displays that she wants Coraline all to herself.
She is very persuasive in the way that she tempts Coraline to stay with her and with her bribes.
She is very determined, for example when Coraline gives her a challenge, (finding the 3 souls and her parents) she displays competitiveness and doesn’t give up.
